Devuan statistics

Here will follow some statistics based on a base install or desktop install of Devuan, including stats from my method installing a minimal system.

Some statistics based on a standard base install of Devuan from the installer, without further package selection.

Memory used at boot: 64MB

Disk space used: 588MB

Additional services started: ssh, acpid

Statistics about a standard install with a desktop environment, and display manager selected during install will appear here.

Minimal install stats

A minimalistic install from debootstrap –variant=minbase has the following stats to recommend it. This is based on a qemu install using GRUB and lvm2.

A base install without any additional packages

Memory used at boot: 52M

Used disk space: 396M

Number of root ps -sh processes: 8

Daemons started: None

With my suggested XFCE desktop environment setup

Memory used: 187

Used disk space: 708M

Root ps -sh processes: 11

Daemons started: slim, dbus
